Hocking Hills is often an unknown and overlooked part of the country. This extreme topography is due to large amounts of Black Hand Sandstone, a hard and weather resistant stone.
The region is home to Hocking Hills State Park, which is a nationally and internationally acclaimed state park. Throughout all seasons this park attracts hikers, recreation seekers, and nature lovers. The unique setting makes for stunning ice formations in the winter and colorful foliage during autumn.
Nestled along one of the winding two lane roads is ReWild Rentals, two uniquely modern cabins. With the website introduction, “Return to nature, as well as each other, in our modern retreats nestled in the heart of Hocking Hills”, ReWild embodies the elements of this scenic corner of Ohio.
The hosts, two dreamers from Lancaster, Ohio, aspired to have their own place where they could experience the beauty of nature and the connection it provides. The adventure of looking for property ended when the couple found seven lucky four-leaf clovers on six beautiful acres.
The first and largest of the two cabins, The Ravenhaus, features three bedrooms, a stunning kitchen, as well as sprawling views of the woods off of the back deck. A few key features that stand out include an airy living space, large windows, and a cozy gas fireplace. The hosts designed every room to offer tranquil views of the wooded setting.
The Nest boasts a small footprint with an open, bright feel. The tall ceilings and many windows provide guests with the feeling of being immersed in nature. The 500 square foot space is ideal for couples searching for a quiet getaway and individuals simply looking to break away from the busyness of everyday life. The cabin is anchored around a gas fireplace and features a wraparound deck. Both cabins offer guests the opportunity to enjoy the modern functional interiors, while also having access to accommodating outdoor spaces.
The hosts at ReWild hope that visitors will fully immerse themselves in the beauty of Hocking Hills, while breathing in the peace of their natural surroundings. Ultimately, the two dreamers turned cabin hosts, want guests to enjoy a secluded retreat that will create memories to last a lifetime.
